Jess and Luke were married the week before Christmas at the Riverside Church, Southwell, Nottinghamshire. They held the reception at the same venue, thanks to an army of helpful friends and family. The room was decorated with a large Christmas tree, adorned with pretty decorations. Well, it would have been rude not too really…
It was a sunny winter’s morning when I arrived at Jess’ parents house to photograph her getting ready. What is the collective noun for a group of shoes? Well, whatever it is, I was greeted by 9 pairs of bridesmaids shoes, a record of some sorts, surely? The eagle eyed amongst you might recognise Jess from when she was Maid of Honour at Lucy and Liam’s wedding. Lucy returned the favour and I think she was actually more nervous than she was for her own wedding…what a wonderful thing for sisters to do for each other.
The bouquets by Rebecca Caddell of Floral Deco were a pleasure to photograph, the cream and silver tones were so perfect for a winter wedding.

We set off in convoy for the ceremony, and arrived to find a cool and collected Groom…he just couldn’t wait to get married to Jess. And who can blame him? Jess looked incredible in her Cymbelline gown from Little White Dress boutique in West Bridgford, Nottingham. I loved the clean, elegant lines and the unfussy details which let Jess’ natural beauty shine through.

After the wedding, there was a surprise horse and carriage ride through the town for the couple. I caught up with them for a few minutes to take some photographs whilst the guests were enjoying mince pies and carol singing. I was lucky to have Funmi for assisting me on the day, as my husband Tom couldn’t make it. Thank you Funmi, it was fun shooting with you!

As the evening fell, it was time for speeches, yummy food and for the party to get started. The Money played at the evening reception and they were ace! We loved dancing behind our cameras in between taking photographs. It was fantastic to see everyone, young and old, celebrating Jess and Luke’s marriage together that night.

And then it was time for the newlyweds to run off on honeymoon…but not before a drenching of confetti…

Congratulations once again to the new Mr and Mrs Everington. I’m so pleased that you love your wedding photographs!
So that’s two weddings from the same family. I wonder if I’ll make it a hat trick if Jess and Lucy’s brother gets married…? No pressure.
